Ne-Mar Center is host to annual events that bring the community together and bring shoppers to see the products and services our wonderful tenants have to offer. Come check out the next Ne-Mar Center event! The Rogers County United Way returns to Ne-Mar for the Campaign kick-off on thursday September 12, for 7:30 to 9:00. (Rain date is September19th) The theme is "Bikes and Blues." Blues band, "Sunday Moan" will perform and motorcycles will be welcomed. At 4:00 the music kicks off at NeMar Center, then a Cruise at 6:00 onto Historic Route 66 to Totem Pole Park in Foyil. Free Hamburgers & Hot dogs courtesy of the Akdar Shrine! When we return from Cruising we will light up the night with a flame-throwing contest. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best Flames! The Car Show will be held throughout the day Saturday, September 28th at Claremore Lake. 2012 Toys For Tots at the Claremore Christmas Parade December 8th 6:00 pm - Toys for Tots at the annual Claremore Christmas Parade. The Marines will be at the Ne-Mar tree before and after the Claremore Christmas Parade to collect Toys for Tots. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes - hosted by Safenet Services Safenet Services will host the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" on April 21st. The walk which promotes awareness about domestic violence will begin at 9:00 am in Ne-Mar. Participants should register by April 6th by calling 918-341-1424 or emailing susan@safenetservices.org. Destination Claremore - Route 66 Cruiser Car Club As part of Destination Claremore Route 66 Cruiser Car Club will cruise into Ne-Mar on April 28th from 11-4. Support the true reason for the season this year by giving a gift to the Toys for Tots Foundation. This year, you may drop off toys at both Cherry Berry and Stage. Ready For Christmas! - The tree is up and Ne-Mar is decorated for Christmas! This year the owners of Ne-Mar added six feet and a gold star to the Ne-Mar Christmas tree making the tree a total of 33 feet tall. The tree is 16.5 feet across at the bottom and has 15,120 LED lights. The tree was erected by Charles McCaskey with help from Curtis Tune, Steve Clinton, Chad Thomas and Steve Neely. The 214 branches were fluffed by the ground crew of Sherry and Ed Barstow, Jonnie and Paul Neely, Donna and Kenny Franklin, and Terrie Neely. The Neelys and the Barstows are the owners of the center and the Franklins are Terrie Neely's parents. The community and churches are invited to host Christmas events by the tree or in ne-Mar Center. Ne-Mar is a great place to watch the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade on Dec. 3rd at 6:00 Black Friday - the day after Thanksgiving Several Ne-Mar Center shops and stores will have extended hours with Bath and Body Works kicking off the big shopping day by opening at 10pm on Thanksgiving night!
